I'm driving home from work, and I hear on the radio that Martin Luther King jr. has been shot! I lived in memphis a few weeks ago, but right now am in Birmingham. I had to leave people were always rushing, always having to be somewhere. Anyway, I think it may have been for the best, he's one of the people who has been stirring people up. I think he's probably getting some money out of this, only Doing it because it bene- fits himself. I may only be 32, but I've heard about this guy before and nothing good happens where he goes. He might have good intentions, but I doubt it, it doesn't make much of a difference to me. Everyone around me pretty much thinks the same, I mean why would he if he wasn't get anything out of it? The black people are fine, they are treated fine, what's the big deal if a few people out of thousands get their feelings hurt? Even so this is no way of going about it. When people get stirred up they mess up the town, make a mess, and just make everyone down right miserable! Don't get me wrong it's not that I don't like black people, they're like everyone else some good and some bad, but the damage it does is more harm then it does good. I'm not saying that death isn't sad but maybe this will settle things down and everything will go back to normal, at least I hope so!
