Linita C. by Joshua R., Cordova Middle

She lived in a small home in Memphis, TN. The economy was rough and pay was very low. A typical day for her in 1968 was a long hard days work watching over her children. Now I’m retired and enjoying life. The day he was assassinated hurt the South horribly. The night after King was shot was a disaster. African American people were devastated. Before King’s death I believed he was a great man leading America to better ways. Now in my opinion he is a hero that changed the U.S. in a great way. After his death the amazing speeches he left behind took a toll on people’s life.
