My Grandparents, by Joseph, Harding Academy

When MLK came to Memphis it was a time of turmoil, racial divid and tension, student protest and unrest in the country. My grandparents were raising kids and we're busy at work. One day when all were home, they sat down to watch the news and were in total shock that MLK had been assassinated. They couldn't talk to there neighbors because the city was on lockdown. Before MLK had been assassinated, they didn't have strong feeling for the cause, but after they felt sad and cared about it more. The people of Memphis tried to be more fair and draw together. This is my grandparents story of MLK.
